THE BSR TECHNIQUE

The BSR Technique

Body Stress Release (BSR) is a gentle technique that helps the body release stored tension. During a session, you stay fully clothed and lie down comfortably. The practitioner uses light pressure at specific points on your body to locate tension and determine its exact direction. This process works like biofeedback—your body gives the signals it needs to guide the release.

Once the tension is located, the practitioner applies gentle but precise pressure to help unlock it. Recent stress often releases quickly, while long-held tension may take several sessions to ease, as your body slowly adjusts and relaxes.

The first session usually lasts 30 to 45 minutes, with follow-up sessions around 20 to 30 minutes.

Important Note: BSR does not diagnose or treat medical conditions. It focuses on locating and releasing stored tension, helping your body’s natural ability to heal and maintain itself.

Maintenance Appointments

Many people first come to BSR for relief from pain or discomfort, but BSR also supports long-term well-being. Regular sessions can help prevent the build-up of stress and tension before problems arise. Those who experience relief often choose to continue maintenance sessions to stay balanced and healthy.

The BSR Process

BSR is a three-phase process that supports your body’s self-healing. Each person’s progress depends on their response and self-care. As nerve communication improves, recovery happens at your own pace, unlocking tension, restoring balance, and promoting overall well-being.

Phases of Care with BSR

  • Intensive Phase (Essential):
Day 1, Day 4, (optional Day 7), and Day 1, to address the immediate concern.

  • Rehabilitation Phase (Recommended):
Weekly or every two weeks, depending on your needs.

  • Maintenance Phase (Your long-term care):
Every 3–6 weeks, to keep your body balanced and healthy.
